Kirk Carson, East Hill Singers Artistic Director and Conductor
Kirk joined the East Hill Singers in 2006. He assisted Elvera Voth with conducting duties and in 2008, Ms. Voth stepped down and Kirk took up the baton as conductor and artistic director of the East Hill Singers.
Kirk received his Bachelor’s of Music and Master’s of Performing Arts from Oklahoma City University. He formerly sang in opera houses in Europe and the United States, and performed with symphony orchestras in recital and oratorio.
Kirk has conducted a wide variety of choral groups over the past 20 years including collegiate and university choirs, community choral groups, vocal jazz ensembles, and musical theatre. He is currently Director of Music for Colonial Church in Prairie Village, KS and performs with the flamenco group, Ole! Music and Dance of Spain.
Dr. Stephanie Henry, Accompanist and Associate Conductor
Founder of the Kansas City Women’s Chorus, Stephanie has 30 years experience teaching, performing and conducting. Stephanie received a M.F.A., Conducting from UCLA and a D.M.A., Choral Music from the University of Southern California. She brings her prior experience as a conductor, adjunct professor, choral and voice teacher and music director to the East Hill Singers.
